“When we practice archery, we’re really having a conversation with our own body,” says Judy, founder of Mindfulness ARCHERY, as she warmly reflects on her journey and connection to the sport.

Before discovering archery, Judy worked long hours in an office, spending most of her days seated at a desk. The constant sitting left her with persistent neck and back pain. Then, one day, a friend invited her to try archery—and that simple invitation opened a new door. 

Through practice, she not only found physical relief but also a surprising sense of focus and calm. That transformation marked the beginning of an entirely new chapter.

Judy founded Mindfulness ARCHERY to share her love for the sport, and today the brand operates ranges in both Taipei and Taichung. The Taipei range, located near Xihu MRT Station and surrounded by mountains, is an outdoor venue built to international standards. It has even been used as a training ground for athletes from the World Masters Games and featured on the TV show All Star Sports Day.

The Taichung location, named Novice Archery, features a 7-meter range designed to promote archery for beginners.


“We offer flexible scheduling and personalized instruction to suit different learners,” Judy explains. “From children to seniors, and from absolute beginners to experienced archers, everyone is welcome to find a class that fits their level.” This inclusive approach allows people to enjoy archery at their own rhythm—while having fun and reconnecting with their body.

Judy recalled the difficulties she faced in the early days of running the business:
“Besides handling phone calls, we also tried using some free online booking tools to manage our classes.”
